toom Baumarkt invests in Green Buildings

toom Baumarkt has embarked on an energy efficiency programme for its existing stores and also in the construction of new ones. This year toom will reopen more than 20 upgraded and enlarged stores, to be followed next year by two new ‘Green Building’ outlets. In the Spring of 2015 toom will open an additional Green Building store at Alzey in Germany’s Rhineland Palatinate. read more…

Discounts For Flood Victims

Several home improvement retail chains have offered special discounts to victims of Germany’s recent serious river floods. The retailers include the toom chain, which gives flood victims a ten percent discount. René Hassfeld is head of sales for toom Baumarkt: “We want to give flood victims what assistance we can quickly and with the minimum of red tape.” read more…
