The HARDWARE-Meter: Industry members called upon to assess the economy

EISENWARENMESSE – International Hardware Fair Cologne (4 to 7 March 2018) invites the exhibitors and trade visitors to submit their personal assessment of the economic situation and development on the website at www.eisenwarenmesse.com by answering two questions. There are additionally two further questions on current, industry-relevant themes such as for instance digitalisation, E-Commerce, social media usage or start-ups.

“The exhibitors and trade visitors gain a comprehensive overview of the industry at EISENWARENMESSE – International Hardware Fair Cologne,” stated Catja Caspary, Vice President of Koelnmesse. “Thanks to the HARDWARE-Meter we can also offer valuable information in the times when no event is being held. It is our aim to establish the survey within the industry on a permanent basis.” The initial results will be presented at EISENWARENMESSE – International Hardware Fair Cologne in March 2018. The results of the survey will additionally be sent to all survey participants.

Cologne 2014 International Hardware Fair: Final Round-Up



This year’s Cologne International Hardware Fair saw 2,783 exhibitors from 53 countries and some 50,000 trade visitors from 136 lands, once again confirming the position of this event as the world’s top location for the hardware industries and associated innovators. Commenting on the positive trends with respect to both the quality and quantity of exhibitors and visitors, the chief executive of the Cologne Fair Katharina C. Hamma said: “We are absolutely delighted that this year, the supply-side grew by 4.5 percent in comparison with the previous event. Eisen 2014 Award Short-List Announced

This year saw no fewer than 80 nominations for the 2014 Eisen Award, from which the selectors have chosen a short-list of 13 companies. The Awards will be announced and presented at the Cologne International Hardware Fair annual Welcome Party on the first evening of the fair on 9 March, to be held in the Theater am Tanzbrunnen.
