Impressions of the Start-Up Village at #EISENWARENMESSE 2018

The Start-Up Village at the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR 2018 offered visitors creative solutions from young, agile entrepreneurs who present the digital business of tomorrow.

The Start-Up Village, which was created in cooperation between the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR and the European Federation of DIY Manufacturers (fediyma), had a strong supporter in the form of trend expert Richard van Hooijdonk, who expressly praised the innovative strength of the selected start-ups. In addition to several presentations in the Start-Up Village, the newcomers were available to answer questions at their stands. Furthermore, von Hooijdonk opened the dSummit as a keynote speaker and emphasized the importance of the innovative founders.

With Dirk Stefen and Gleb Christoffel from myCRAFTNOTE, two founders were at the myCRAFTNOTE stand. During the #HARDWAREFAIR 2018 their start-up was still called myCRAFTY, but nothing has changed in their app and their idea since then. “The new Whatsapp for the trade”, Stefen describes their app. Marnix Kickert of twnkls was also part of the start-up village. The Dutchman is Creative at twnkls and showed interested people how his company can make various products effectively accessible through Augmented Reality on mobile devices. Christian Dammertz, CEO of FoxBase GmbH, presented his Digital Product Selector, a solution for the digitalization of B2B sales, which gives sales employees the opportunity to get the right product by answering a specific set of questions.

More about the products of the participants and the reactions to the Start-Up-Village can be seen in our video about the Start-Up Village.
