Eisen 2014 Award: Apply Now!

Ausstellung EISEN 2012, Mittelboulevard

For the second year the International Hardware Fair and Germany’s ZHH Central Association of Hardware Retailers are looking for Eisen-Award contest entrants with the best innovations in tools, fittings and fixtures, hardware mechanisms and industrial supplies.

An independent jury will evaluate new products and developments of existing products that are to be exhibited at the forthcoming Cologne International Hardware Fair, and which differ from earlier or existing products with respect to their form, function, appearance, design, materials used, operation and/or technology. Products standing the best chance of success are those which embody an innovative or unusual solution to a problem, offer a particular utility, have high functionality and quality for the end-user. The deadline for Eisen 2014 Innovation-Award powered by ZHH applications is 28 January 2014.

In addition, businesses are invited to apply for next year’s CSR Corporate Social Responsibility Award. This is open to companies which have achieved a proven combination of economic success with social responsibility with environmentally friendly policies and actions. The Eisen 2014 CSR-Award operates under the aegis of the Cologne Fair and the BHB DIY Construction and Gardening Retail Association. The Association consists of DIY retailers seeking to promote sustainable retailing, while at the same time highlighting the immense importance of this sector. Corporate-social responsibility emphasises good employee relations, their treatment and working conditions, good business practice – for example with regard to partners in the supply chain – the relevant ecological and environmental aspects, plus support for the local community. The jury will be on the lookout for companies that have been pro-active in at least one of these four aspects of their business.
